MCW AML & KYC Policy — Anti-Money Laundering | Identity Verification

Last updated: March 2026

Introduction

MCW Entertainment N.V. is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud on its platform. As a licensed operator under the Curacao eGaming Authority, MCW implements strict Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures in compliance with international regulatory standards.

These procedures are designed to protect both the platform and its players. By verifying the identity of our users, we ensure a safe and transparent gaming environment for everyone.

What is KYC?

Know Your Customer (KYC) is a verification process required by our licensing authority and international financial regulations. It ensures that all players are who they claim to be and helps prevent fraud, money laundering, identity theft, and underage gambling.

KYC verification is a standard practice across all licensed online gaming platforms worldwide. Completing verification allows you to enjoy the full range of MCW services, including withdrawals of any size.

Documents Required

Tier 1 — Identity Verification

A government-issued photo identification document. Submit a clear photo or scan showing the front and back of the document with all corners visible:

  • Passport
  • National ID card (NID)
  • Driver's licence

Tier 2 — Proof of Address

A document confirming your current residential address. Must display your full name and address, and be dated within the last 3 months:

  • Utility bill (electricity, water, gas, internet)
  • Bank statement
  • Government-issued letter or tax document

Tier 3 — Payment Verification

May be requested to verify ownership of the payment method used on the platform:

  • Photo of credit/debit card (first 6 and last 4 digits visible, middle digits may be covered)
  • Screenshot of e-wallet account showing your name
  • Screenshot of bKash/Nagad account with registered name visible
  • Crypto wallet transaction proof (if applicable)

Verification Process

Completing KYC verification is straightforward:

  • Log in to your MCW account and go to Profile → Verification / KYC.
  • Upload the required documents — clear photos or scans. Ensure all text is readable and all corners of the document are visible.
  • Submit the documents for review by the MCW compliance team.
  • Verification is typically completed within 24-48 hours.
  • You will receive an email notification when your verification is approved.
  • If any document is rejected, you will receive a notification explaining the reason. Re-upload the correct document or contact support for assistance.

Tips for Successful Verification

  • Use a well-lit environment when taking photos of documents
  • Ensure the entire document is visible — do not crop edges
  • Photos must be in colour, not black and white
  • All text must be clearly readable — avoid blurry or low-resolution images
  • Selfies with ID (if requested) must clearly show both your face and the document
  • Accepted file formats: JPEG, PNG, PDF (max 10 MB per file)

When is Verification Required?

MCW may request KYC verification in the following situations:

  • Before your first withdrawal — mandatory for all players
  • When cumulative deposits exceed ৳50,000
  • When cumulative withdrawals exceed ৳100,000
  • When suspicious activity is detected on the account
  • At random as part of ongoing compliance checks
  • When updating account information (name, address, payment method)
  • When required by regulatory authorities

We strongly recommend completing verification as soon as possible after registration to avoid delays when you are ready to withdraw.

What Happens if Verification Fails?

If your documents are rejected, you will receive a notification explaining the reason (e.g., blurry image, expired document, name mismatch). You can re-upload corrected documents through the Profile → Verification section.

If you are unable to provide the required documentation, please contact MCW customer support for assistance. Failure to complete verification when requested may result in:

  • Withdrawal processing being delayed or suspended
  • Account restrictions until verification is completed
  • In extreme cases, account closure in accordance with regulatory requirements

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy

MCW complies with international Anti-Money Laundering regulations and implements the following measures:

  • All financial transactions are monitored for suspicious patterns and unusual activity
  • Large or unusual transactions may be flagged for manual review by the compliance team
  • Players may be asked to provide source-of-funds documentation for significant deposits
  • MCW reports suspicious activity to the relevant authorities as required by law
  • Accounts involved in or suspected of money laundering will be frozen pending investigation and may be reported to law enforcement
  • Funds must be wagered at least 1x (one time turnover) before withdrawal to prevent the platform from being used as a money transfer service
  • Deposits and withdrawals must use the same payment method where possible

Data Protection

All KYC documents and personal data are stored securely using 256-bit encryption and are accessible only to authorised compliance personnel. Documents are retained for the minimum period required by our licensing obligations (5 years after account closure) and are then securely destroyed. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
