MCW Responsible Gaming — Play Responsibly | Player Protection
Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming
At MCW, we believe gambling should be a form of entertainment — not a source of income or a way to solve financial problems. We are committed to promoting safe and responsible gambling practices and take our responsibility to our players seriously.
We provide a range of tools to help you stay in control of your gaming activity. Our platform is designed to be enjoyable, and we want every player to have a positive experience. MCW is licensed by the Curacao eGaming Authority and adheres to strict regulatory standards for player protection. Only players aged 18 and above are allowed to register and play.
If gambling ever stops being fun, please use the tools described below or reach out to the support organisations listed on this page.
Player Protection Tools
MCW provides the following tools to help you manage your gambling activity. All tools are available in your account settings under Profile → Responsible Gaming.
Deposit Limits
Set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits to control how much money you can add to your account. Navigate to Profile → Settings → Deposit Limits to configure. Limits can be decreased immediately, but increases take effect only after a cooling-off period of 24-72 hours to prevent impulsive decisions.
Loss Limits
Set a maximum amount you are willing to lose in a day, week, or month. Once the limit is reached, you will not be able to place further bets until the period resets. This prevents you from losing more than you planned during a difficult session.
Session Time Limits / Reality Checks
Set reminders to alert you after a certain amount of time spent playing — for example, every 30, 60, or 120 minutes. These reality checks help you stay aware of how long you have been playing and prompt you to take a break.
Self-Exclusion
Temporarily or permanently exclude yourself from the MCW platform. Available periods: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 6 months, 1 year, or permanent. During self-exclusion, you cannot log in, deposit, or place bets. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed during the active period.
To activate self-exclusion: go to Profile → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion, or contact customer support directly.
Cool-Off Period
Take a short break from gambling without full self-exclusion. Your account is temporarily frozen for your chosen period. Deposits and bets are blocked, but you can still log in to withdraw any remaining funds.
Account Closure
If you wish to permanently close your account, contact customer support. Any remaining real money balance will be returned to your withdrawal method. Bonus funds are forfeited upon closure. Account closure is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to Set Limits
- Log in to your MCW account.
- Go to Profile → Account Settings.
- Select "Responsible Gaming" or "Player Protection".
- Choose the type of limit you want to set: Deposit, Loss, or Session Time.
- Set your preferred limit amount or time period.
- Confirm your selection.
- Limits take effect immediately for decreases. Increases require a 24-72 hour cooling-off period.
You can adjust or remove limits at any time in your account settings. We recommend setting limits before you start playing.
Signs of Problem Gambling
If you recognise any of the following signs in yourself or someone you know, it may be time to seek help:
- Spending more money or time on gambling than you can afford
- Gambling to escape problems, stress, or negative emotions
- Chasing losses — betting more to win back money you have lost
- Lying to family or friends about your gambling activity
- Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling
- Neglecting work, studies, or personal responsibilities because of gambling
- Feeling anxious, irritable, or depressed about gambling
- Being unable to stop or reduce gambling despite wanting to
- Gambling with money meant for bills, rent, or essential expenses
- Thinking about gambling constantly, even when not playing
If any of these apply to you, please use the self-exclusion tools above or contact a support organisation listed below. There is no shame in asking for help.
Self-Assessment
Ask yourself the following questions honestly. If you answer "yes" to two or more, consider seeking support:
- Do I gamble more than I can afford to lose?
- Do I feel the need to bet with more money to get the same level of excitement?
- Have I tried to stop gambling but found I could not?
- Do I feel restless or irritable when trying to reduce or stop gambling?
- Do I gamble to escape from problems or to relieve feelings of stress or sadness?
- Do I lie to others about how much time or money I spend on gambling?
- Has gambling negatively affected my relationships, work, or finances?
This is not a clinical diagnosis. If you are concerned about your gambling behaviour, please speak to a professional or contact one of the support organisations below.
Tips for Responsible Play
- Set a budget before you play — decide how much you can afford and stick to it.
- Set time limits — take regular breaks and do not let gambling sessions run too long.
- Never chase your losses — accept them and walk away. Tomorrow is another day.
- Do not gamble when upset, stressed, or under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
- Treat gambling as entertainment, not as a way to make money or solve financial problems.
- Use deposit limits and session reminders — the tools are there to help you.
- Balance gambling with other activities — hobbies, socialising, exercise, and rest.
- Keep track of time and money spent gambling — awareness is key.
- Never borrow money to gamble — only use disposable income.
- If it stops being fun, stop playing.
Underage Gambling Prevention
MCW strictly prohibits gambling by anyone under the age of 18. We take the following measures to prevent underage gambling:
- Age verification during registration as part of the KYC process
- Government-issued ID verification required before the first withdrawal
- Accounts found to belong to minors are immediately closed and all winnings voided
- Regular compliance checks to detect and prevent underage access
For Parents and Guardians
If you share a device with minors, please take the following precautions:
- Monitor your children's device and internet usage
- Use parental control software to block access to gambling websites
- Keep your MCW account credentials secure — do not save passwords in shared browsers
- Do not allow minors to use your gambling account under any circumstances
Recommended parental control tools: Net Nanny, Qustodio, Bark, Google Family Link.
